Thread

The thread types and colors are listed below. Remember computers and their screens do no display colors accurately, so use as a guide only. Most of our customers leave choosing the thread and colors up to us. So if you are not sure what you want, we will be very happy to help you choose. Listed also is the price per bobbin just so you have an idea of cost between the different types. Also the Superior threads are a little thicker than the Signature, so more bobbins are needed.

A&E Signature Cotton and Polyester Thread

Listed below are the cotton thread colors. The A&E polyester thread is included in the quilting cost, not extra charge, and has a wider range of colors, in fact too many to list here. If you don't see the color you want, most likely we have a polyester that will be just right.

Valdani Hand-Dyed Variegated Thread

This thread is a little thicker than the above threads, so has a greater "presence"on your quilt. The hand-dying process creates color variegations of random lengths and more color variation. Return to thread list or next thread.

Rainbows Thread

This thread has a high sheen. Looks like a rayon thread, very pretty. Wonderful for art quilts and wall hangings. Wash and dryer safe. Return to thread list.
